Blogging Time

I know I promised many people that I would indeed create a blog, and so I have. When my blog is compiled with my personal journal and also the numerous creative projects I have been pursuing in Russia I believe it will be a very large volume of literature.

In my life in Texas, I felt pulled many different directions at once. I was always torn between different loves. My love of interesting topics, literature, creating and, most dramatically, people. the exchange group here has many very interesting people in it and so was easy for me to fall into the same social routine of being constantly too busy all the time. Then, for some half-known reason, I chose to simplify my life. I endeavored to " take care of you [(myself)]" and make that my top priority. As a result of this I have produced some of my best literary pieces here already. I have begun to read alot again. I have also become more interested in my studies.

I remembered what my life was like before I devalued my alone time. I am enjoying this reprieve from a renascence man's rigors; though I do miss all of you so much. This country is for me. It is for me to work on myself as a person, a writer and, most importantly, a man.

That being said, the main topic of this blog will not just be the extrinsic everyday life that I experience in Russia, but how that extrinsic activity has affected my intrinsic self. I hope that you will all enjoy this " moving pictures" story of what I was when I left for Russia, and what you can expect to see when I return.
